Caroline Buttler


Caroline Buttler graduated with a degree in geology from Liverpool University. She went on to undertake an MSc in palaeontology at the University of Manitoba, Canada and then a PhD at the University of Wales, Swansea. After a research fellowship at Trinity College, Dublin she joined the National Museum of Wales as a conservator, specialising in geological conservation. Caroline is an accredited conservator. She has undertaken the training of natural science conservators from the United Kingdom and Europe and has recently co-edited a book on practical museum conservation. Caroline continues to undertake palaeontological research, specialising in Palaeozoic fossil bryozoans.
